Mrs.Helen Roper was a character on the 1970s TV show, “Three's Company'' played by Audra Lindley. Mrs. Roper was the wisecracking, caftan-wearing, freethinking, glamourous gay-ally neighbour that has become a cultural icon!

The romp began in 2013 as a Million Mrs. Roper March of men and women wearing caftans and curly red wigs during a New Orleans parade and has spread to cities all over the world. Now it's Toronto's time!

Yes! Dressing like Mrs Roper is going to be a blast! 

Grab your favourite caftan , your red curly wig and don some Mrs Roper inspired accessories and join us! 

First stop is to meet at Doll Factory by Damzels East 1122 Queen St E between 4-4:20 pm, from there we'll 'Romp' up to Poor Romeo on Gerrard. Please note, Poor Romeo is approximately 1km from Doll Factory by Damzels. If you are mobility challenged you can meet us there!

When: The Mrs. Roper Romp takes place Saturday Sept 21st. Romp commences at 4pm at DFBD East End location. Mrs Ropers will walk at 4:30 to arrive at Poor Romeo for 5pm. We will 'romp' on Gerrard St E until 7pm but of coure you are welcome to stay and eat and drink and enjoy all the things Leslieville has to offer!

Where do I get a ticket to this event? Tickets can be purchased instore at either location or right here:

Proceeds to benefit the Toronto Humane Society. With each $10 ticket you get a $10 Doll Factory Gift Card (that's your ticket!) Tickets are non-refundable but are transferble to a friend if you can't make it.

Do we have to dress up as Mrs. Roper? Well it is the Mrs Roper Romp and there will be an opportunity to potentially win a prize for those in costume so Mrs Roper garb is most highly encouraged!

Can I dress in another character from "Three's Company"? It'll be way more fun, and have much more visual impact if we all (even those who identify as non-female) dress as the iconic Mrs Roper.

Can I meet the group at Poor Romeo and skip the 'romp'? Yes. We plan to arrive at Poor Romeo at approximately 5:15pm.

What if it rains? Pack an umbrella, we will romp rain or shine.

How far is Poor Romeo from Doll Factory by Damzels? Approximately 1km

Can I bring my partner, pet, child?The more the merrier! We can't wait to see each and every version of Mrs Roper you can come up with! But note...Poor Romeo is a licensed bar/restaurant and guests must be human and at least 19 years old to attend. All are welcome on the 'romp' from DFBD to Poor Romeo however.
